Neram movie review

Neram is a dark comedy that has all the quintessential elements including joy, sorrow, mirth and anger. Nivin and Nazriya's performances are the main attraction in the film. Alphonse's script and narration, Rajesh Murugesan's music, Anand C Chandran's cinematography are other highlights of the film. The slow-paced narration is one big drawback of the movie. The movie revolves around the life of an unemployed IT engineer, who runs up debts to marry off hissister. Nivin and Nazriya's chemistry is palpable. Alphonse, who studied films at SAE College in Chennai, has claimed that Neram is a recollection of his own experiences and those of some others he know. His struggles in the cine world have inspired him to do this film. The film does not have any novelty, but its engaging catchline draws your attention. After completing his engineering degree in computer, Mathew is staying with his friend in Chennai and seeking for a job, but he doesn't get any job. He is in love with a girl named Jeena, who is self-employed in a travel agency. After knowing their love affair, her father Johny Kutty agrees for their marriage. Mathew takes loan from a Money lender and as time passes, he fails to repay the amount. At this juncture, the money lender kidnaps his lover, misunderstanding her to be the girlfriend of another guy, who has borrowed money from him. What happens next will from the climax of the movie.
